Annual Diversity Charters' Forum in Tallinn

moderation of the "diversity management in the public sector" workshop

Last 6 and 7 November, the Diversity Charter Lëtzebuerg has taken part in the Annual Diversity Charters' Forum in Tallinn, Estonia in the framework of its EU presidency.

Around 150 organisations from all over the EU - among which the 19 existing Diversity Charters - gathered to exchange around the topic "Diversity and Leadership in a World in Flux". Several aspects and challenges on diversity management have thus been addressed during round tables and workshops such as the inclusion of third country nationals and refugees into the labour market or the challenges related to gender equality within top executive positions. Age diversity and unconscious bias were other topics up to discussion.

Catia Fernandes, coordinator of the Diversity Charter Lëtzebuerg, has hosted a workshop on diversity management in the public sector in presence of Michiel Trippas, Diversity Policy Officer of the Flemish governement and Piret Hartman, Undersecretary for Cultural Diversity in Estonia. Their testimonies have enabled an enriching and interesting debate with the audience as well as the exchange of best practices between the different European countries.
