As part of the 41st Festival des Migrations, des Cultures et de la Citoyenneté and its ARTSMANIF section, CLAE has chosen to showcase some portraits of workers in Luxembourg, through a new creative residency.  

The creations of the Graphic Novels residency "Récits "Hors-Saison" / Bulles d'Art & Parenthèses du Monde du Travail" will be linked to portraits of workers from different key sectors of the Luxembourg economy. Based on stories that have already been written, participants will be able to create the original plates of a short graphic novel and turn each bubble into a parenthesis rich in pieces of shared history.

Tempo?
The meetings between the participants and the collective creation of the original illustrations will take place between 1 December 2023 and 1 February 2024 at CLAE - Gasperich, Luxembourg. An exhibition of the original boards and prints will be held in February and March 2024. A presentation and meeting with the public will take place at the Festival des Migrations, des Cultures et de la Citoyenneté - Luxexpo, on the weekend of 24 and 25 February 2024.

How to apply?
Interested illustrators should send a short introductory email, together with any documents that may be useful in assessing their artistic work, such as a portfolio, Instagram, photos, plates and artwork, to info@clae.lu
