Description of the action
ARCUS Pride Art is an annual exhibition of works by lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender (LGBTQ+) and supporter artists taking place across Clifford Chance's global network.
Arcus Pride Art galleries are part of Clifford Chance's commitment to both celebrate and champion LGBTQ+ people and their equality. Through these galleries, the firm aims to raise awareness and empower and inspire people to become advocates and supporters of LGBTQ+ equality.
In 2022, Clifford Chance's 16th annual global campaign is on the theme of 'Celebrating Community'.
Context
Clifford Chance has developed over the years a global program of initiatives designed to help deliver greater equality for LGBTQ+ people within the firm, build the capacity of clients to be stronger supporters of equality, and drive real change worldwide.
One of these initiatives is ARCUS, Clifford Chance's global inclusive employee network open to all Lesbian, Gay, Bi, Trans*, Intersex, Queer people and their Allies.
Objectives
• Raise awareness and empower and inspire people to become advocates and supporters of LGBTQ+ equality with Allies.
• Encourage an inclusive and integrated culture within the firm that gives employees and clients the choice to be open and out.
Approach
Since 2007, Clifford Chance offices across the world celebrate Pride Month highlighting the works of lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, intersex, non-binary and queer artists and their allies.
During Pride Month 2022, employees in Luxembourg have been invited to virtually experience the Arcus Pride Art galleries and join the Global Director ofinclusion and the ARCUS committee, for a presentation of ARCUS, its role and objectives. In addition, the office building has been illuminated with rainbow colors and employees have been invited to show their support wearing rainbow-style lanyards.
