Work/Life balance in practice
Study visit from the Polish and Dutch Diversity Charters to Luxembourg
28 & 29 October 2019

Collaborators’ wellbeing is at the forefront of business concerns. This explains why, 82% of the signatories have implemented practices to favour work/life balance according to the “Diversity & Business Lëtzebuerg” barometer.

At European level, supporting the citizens in better reconciling work and private life is at the heart of the European strategy for growth and jobs. This is why, the European Commission proposed a directive that encourages both men and women to have equitable use of flexible hours and parental leave while guaranteeing their protection.

Through a study visit from Dutch and Polish Diversity Charters representatives and 6 of their signatories to Luxembourg, we suggest you to address work/life balance through different angles : expert presentations, state of play from the 3 Diversity Charters as well as best practice sharing.

What is the legal context in the 3 countries ? Which are the best practices that work ? How to get inspiration from Dutch and Polish signatories and vice versa ?

With the learnings from the first day in mind, this second day of the study visit, will focus on needs assessment workshops related to the topic as well as the presentation of best practices implemented in Luxembourg, the Netherlands and Poland. The visit will end on a workshop on the next steps and solutions to make work/life balance a reality.
