Black History Month

Black History Month is a time dedicated to celebrating, recognizing and commemorating the history, culture, achievements and contributions of black people around the world. It is an opportunity to highlight the past and present achievements of Africans on the continent and Afro-descendants across the world, to highlight their role in the development of society.

Black History Month aims to raise awareness of the black experience, highlighting the challenges they have overcome and those they still face, the struggles for equality and civil rights, and their contributions in various fields such as arts, sciences, politics, sports, literature, music, and many others.
It is a moment to tell the often forgotten or marginalized stories of black people and to recognize their importance in the construction of collective history. Black History Month encourages reflection, education, dialogue and the promotion ofinclusion, diversity and equality.
