Description of the action

Many people in managerial positions face the challenge of diversity in their teams. Aspects ofgender, generations, language and culture can become an asset and make a team more effective, provided that they experience difference as complementarity. Combining all these aspects to build and lead a winning team is an essential component of every leadership and communication seminar at ADT-Center.

Context

Apart fromgender and generational aspects, the Luxembourg labour market has the particularity of great cultural and linguistic diversity. In our companies, these aspects can be sources of misunderstanding and conflict if they are not actively and constructively managed.

Objectives

The objective is to make team leaders aware of the aspects of diversity and to give them practical tools on how to manage its challenges and build their leadership and communicationskills in order to lead their team towards the same goal.

Approach

Leadership training is aimed at the management functions of companies. Each seminar includes a specific module related to the aspect of team management and especially diversity. Specific aspects related togender, generations and intercultural communication are dealt with in a practical way.

Impact

The impact of the training and in particular the diversity aspect is high. Above all, the feedback concerning the generations is very positive and opens the way for positive and effective intergenerational management.
